Mountain Dew Voltage Review (with Dark Berry Comparison) (Soda Tasting #20)

Mountain Dew Voltage Review (with Dark Berry Comparison) (Soda Tasting #20)

Mountain Dew Voltage offers the “exhilarating taste of Dew, charged with ginseng and raspberry citrus flavor.” When I reviewed Mountain Dew Dark Berry in episode #2, YouTube member brookbabeisaguy115 commented that it was drawing comparisons to Voltage. So, in this episode, I also compared the two Dew varieties. Thanks for the idea, brookbabeisaguy115! If you’ve had both, which do you prefer: Voltage or Dark Berry? Please let me know in the comments. Thank you for watching.

Flathead Lake Blueberry Pomegranate Review (Soda Tasting #18)

Flathead Lake Blueberry Pomegranate Review (Soda Tasting #18)

The most popular and common fruit sodas tend to be orange and grape, but outside of that duo, there are a lot of different flavors out there. One of the more unique I have come across is blueberry pomegranate. That’s what I’m tasting today in the Flathead Lake Blueberry Pomegranate. What are some of the more unique fruit flavored sodas that you like? Please let me know in the comments. Thank you for watching.

Blind Tasting the Peppers (Dr Pepper, Pibb Xtra, Dr Thunder, Dr. Perky) (Soda Tasting #15)

Blind Tasting the Peppers (Dr Pepper, Pibb Xtra, Dr Thunder, Dr. Perky) (Soda Tasting #15)

This episode represents something new for Soda Tasting: our first blind tasting. What is a blind tasting? Well, basically, I set myself up to look foolish. I select an assortment of similar sodas, have someone pour them for me and, without knowing which is which and without tasting them immediately beforehand, I taste them and try to guess which is which. Inevitably, I miss the mark. For this episode, I am tasting a selection of peppers. The pepper soda genre, […]

Introduced in 1961, it was Coca-Cola’s answer to the success of 7-Up. What is your preferred lemon lime soda? Please let me know in the comments, so that I can taste it! Thank you for watching.

Cheerwine Review (Soda Tasting #9)

Cheerwine Review (Soda Tasting #9)

Cheerwine has a long history, going back to at least 1917. It is the “oldest continuing soft drink company still run by the same family,” according to a report in the Salisbury Post. Though it maintains close ties to my home state, North Carolina, Cheerwine can be found throughout the country. CORRECTION: In the video, I referred to Cliff Ritchie as the grandson of L.D. Peeler. He is actually his great grandson. I apologize for the error. Are you able […]

Stewart’s Orange ‘n Cream Review (Soda Tasting #5)

Stewart’s Orange ‘n Cream Review (Soda Tasting #5)

The Stewart’s brand dates back to 1924, when it started as a root beer stand. They didn’t begin bottling soda until 1990 and, in 1995, they introduced the Orange ‘n Cream flavor. I’m joined by a special guest: my brother, Sean O’Keefe. Together, we release videos as Patrick and Sean. At the moment, they are mostly video game themed. Stewart’s website describes the company as being in the “premium gourmet soda world.” Does such a thing exist? Is this it? […]
