Interesting that you noted a slightly bitter taste. I’ve wondered if your tasting method–specifically, the fact that you don’t ingest the samples–is preventing a fully accurate tasting. The bitter tastebuds are located at the back of the tongue. I’m wondering if swallowing all sodas might lead to more tastes being picked up on the back of the tongue?
I really have no idea what I’m talking about, but the thought popped into my mind.

I spit most of it, but always swallow some and, sometimes, I’ll pause and cut the camera (or edit it out later) just to give it a little extra time, if I feel like I might need it.
